Book Review: Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien

Title: The Return of the King
Series: The Lord of the Rings
Author: J.R.R. Tolkien
Stars: 5

Blurb: The armies of the Dark Lord are massing as his evil shadow spreads ever wider. Men, Dwarves, Elves and Ents unite forces to do battle against the Dark. Meanwhile, Frodo and Sam struggle further into Mordor in their heroic quest to destroy the One Ring.

The Return of the King, the final battle for Middle Earth. While Frodo and Sam are penetrating ever deeper into the fortress of the enemy, Merry rides to battle with Dernhelm, Pippin saves the life of Faramir and then Marches of the black gate with Gandalf, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimmli and other companions of Middle Earth in a bid to divert the attention of the enemy away from Frodo.

I would still like to know a little more than the ending of this saga tells. What happens to Bilbo, Frodo and Gandalf after they join the elves leaving middle Middle Earth? But like the Two Towers, I really don’t know what to write about Tolkien. Just that the Hobbit and LOTR will always be favourites.
